I recently bought the R8500 and am excited for Open Source router firmware to come out. So far it works well in my house where we have ~30 devices connecting to the router. I've used DD-WRT and Tomato based firmwares in the past and can't wait for the flexibility and functionality to be available on the R8500. I think the Netgear supplied firmware is lacking in configurability around parental controls by device. Thank you in advance!
