Didn't work for my model purchased in germany, so I guess no.
This is getting more than a little bit ridiculous. The official netgear site does not even offer the original firmware for download, it just tells you to go to myopenrouter.com for all firmware, but there is only a bunch of foreign firmwares here, which are all non-working on the european models (except some tomato-version from the stoneage). The irony is that the only firmware I found on this site that did work on my euro model was the WGR614L Firmware v1.1.2_1.0.23 that explicitly stated that it was for North America Only. Truly great. So if I want a firmware that does not turn my router into a white brick I have to download one that states it's for north america only. All the other downloads that STILL DO NOT HAVE A WARNING LABEL "DO NOT USE ON EURO VERSION" do turn the router into a useless white brick.
