Thank you for this utility. Its actually needed for me. I use Netgear's default firmware and upgrade with this dd-wrt only to test the firmware. Now I can go back to my firmware.

thx a million used it and was able to reflash my netgear wndr3300 back to official firmware from dd-wrt.

For those who are interested I have created Flash Utility that gets around some of the shortcomings of this utility.
The method described erases the flash, such that the router go into a failsafe mode. This is required as there is another checksum, netgear specific, which is outside of the TRX. So if you were to use the mtd util to upgrade the flash it would again go into failsafe, as the checksum would not have been updated.
The utility I have published has a nice fudge that will stop this problem; thus letting you use the standard mtd tools!
