I have downloaded the OpenWRT WGR614l Bleeding Edge Environment. To access GUI I have added webif_latest.ipk package. I am able to see some pages also. But after rebooting router fails to boot up. I think bootloader is corrupted. Please help me.

I am assuming that you have tried to SSH into the router? (Stupid question given you installed the ipkg).

Do you have a flashing power light?

Its quite unlikely that the boot loader is corrupted. In linux the MTD partition is locked, and from what you have described nothing would have unlocked it and written to it. What is more likely is that the checksum/length of the image has become corrupted. This would cause it to revert to tftp.

If its not that, gulp. Next answer is a bug in the jff2s code. That could cause you to lose the network settings. Thats errr harder...

You might want to consider the separately-compiled X-WRT bleeding-edge builds (especially if you have a Broadcom-based router and want to run 2.6 Kamikaze).
They are based on the same code, but already include the X-WRT GUI bits.

They can be found at http://downloads.x-wrt.org/xwrt/kamikaze/prereleases/8.09.1/brcm47xx/default/ (if upgrading from OpenWRT, you'll want the generic openwrt-brcm47xx-squashfs.trx file) OR http://downloads.x-wrt.org/xwrt/kamikaze/snapshots/brcm47xx/default/ (snapshot builds; a generic .trx is also available for upgrading from OpenWRT).
