Things I'm using that seem to work well:
* PPPoE on the WNR3500L using my DSL modem as a bridge
* VLAN configuration to allow me to still access the modem's configuration page from the internal network
* Port Mapping
* UPnP which provides NAT 2 access for the PS3
* Network traffic logs look fairly useful.
* Gigabit ports
Things that work, but still need tweaking:
* Wireless access. For some reason my signal quality is less than with my previous wireless access point. From a few feet away it works just fine, but one floor above (which used to work fine), large file transfer start out fast, but then stall out. Fortunately, casual web browsing seems to work ok even with the poor SQ. Still looking into this.
* SNMP - I'd like to get this working, but haven't had a chance to dig into it. There doesn't appear to be any GUI configuration support for it that I've seen.
