Do you mean WPA and WPA2 are supported but WPA and WPA2 entreprise are not ?

If I've understood correctley I'll me happy to install the firmware on my device so I can replace my old Asus/OpenWRT with a new WNR3500L/OpenWRT.

Yes, WPA Personal has been thoroughly tested on this firmware:

I will look for clarification on WPA2. WPA and WPA2 Enterprise are not currently supported.

WPA2 Personal has also been tested and is reported to be working fine.

You need to enable wifi from Web UI. By default this is disabled.
