My question is - does this version of DD-WRT "Mega" BETA svn 14826 (2010-07-18) for WNR3500L work like upgrade of the previous Kong-variation, with Samba3 etc., or it is just a fresh version without the Kong-upgrades?

I don't use Kong - I don't even know what that is.
But, I have upgraded from SVN 14289 successfully - I did not need to re-configure anything.

Kong is an user here, that made the firmware working with Samba3 and made more improvments of DD-WRT with the SVN 14584. Now you give us 14826, but if it doesnt have Samba3 etc., from the previous firmware uploaded here, I will not use it. I will better wait for the version, that Kong will update with all the stuff build in it.

Thank you, Csimbi.

Ah, sorry - I did not know.
When was the last time you saw a build from Kong?

How can I check? (need instructions)

Under Services -> NAS I see only ProFTPD.

Somehow I don't like your answers, so I will not upgrade to your version. Thank you anyway.
