I'm currently using DD-WRT with WDS between two WNR3500L routers. It's working...that's about all I can say. I have to do reboots far too often for my taste, even with the watchdog on. Most Intel cards running on Windows systems have a hard time either getting an IP or they just don't connect or randomly disconnect or they slow to a crawl for no apparent reason. It's extremely frustrating because I have a home business doing computer repair and minor refurbishing. It makes it very difficult to tell if a PC needs a new wifi card or it's just my network being retarded again. Linux machines have no problems. I love using linux with it because when I walk from one end of my house to the other with my netbook it automatically switches from one router to the other without skipping a beat. Windows boxes unfortunately I have to disconnect and reconnect to switch to the closest router. Why is Windows so ignorant when it comes to networking?
Anyhow, I'm tired of playing with DD-WRT and trying to keep my network running reliably. I've read that Tomato does a better job with WDS and I was hoping someone out there had some experience with it. Any help is appreciated!
