internet download speeds are extremely slow over wlan. upload speeds and lan access is fine over wiifi. internet download rate is fine over ethernet but agonizing over wifi :(

any fix kong? i made a ticket at dd-wrt http://svn.dd-wrt.com:8000/ticket/2125

edit: it affects belkin f7d4301.

also, do u have a standalone binary of minidlna that would work with frater's OTRW ?

Hi anees,

you should test my builds as I'm not using the current wireless drivers that is included in the latest dd-wrt builds. The latest wireless drivers seem to be buggy.

You can just use the minidlna bin that is included in my build, since I'm using the same toolchain now as dd-wrt uses therefore the bin is compatible with current dd-wrt builds.

thanks for such a quick reply!
Iv tried your builds too but i have the same problem. I dont think its a driver problem cause wlan to wlan as well as wlan to lan is working as it should. Only problem is down rate of wan over wifi. I thought its some routing thing that only affects this hardware like that "pppoe not working with my router" issue in the older builds. I couldnt figure out why it works on one mini svn but no other (newer or older) builds. The other devs havent noticed the ticket so i thought may be you will.

I tried the minidlna bin from your image but i got a segmentation fault/bus error. Tried it a couple of times but i always has OTRW installed. Could it be because it replaces busybox with bash or something?
Thanks again!

Hmmm,

I just had the time to test this with my wireless client. I have wired or wireless 25MBit/s, so it does not seem to be a general problem. Have you tried with a basic config after a reset? You should also test using a different wireless client card. I used a Intel 5100 AGN. In the forum there are a few reports regarding never wireless drivers and atheros clients.

If minidlna segfaults, then I suspect that you have extra libs installed through optware and they get loaded before the shipped libs, e.g. though LD_LIBARY_PATH or LD_PRELOAD

i have a basic setup just after hard reset. Tried wpa2 aes and unsecured network. Wired clients are fine. Ive tried with a dell mini wlan card 1501 , a multiple nokia phones, ipad and an iphone ,so its not a client driver issue. Like i said , build 17058 mini (http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70454&postdays=0&postorder=asc&s... works fine but no other build does. Actually that was the build that added complete support for new belkin routers so maybe thats why that one works.. But then whu doesnt 17201 and 17140 ?

Any way to fix that lib loading problem??

YIPPEE!!! found a mega build where the problem doesnt exist ! build 17082 ( http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=610050&sid=00ce67d3f7aac9eddc45e... )

now to figure out whats the difference between this build and the others

could it simply be that 17058 and 17082 work because they were not compiled the standard way?
otherwise could it simply be possible to compile a mega for 17058 ? coz wpa doesnt work in 17082

Problem was fixed in build dated 07.06.11
