Sorry  have another question,

I can't get my Samba to work I guess..

I filled in all the information, but can't see the drive or any folder, in my Network, I shutdown HomeGroup on any Computer in my network..

But I still can't seem to locate my disk, It says it's mounted right, in /mnt I put my Samba path to /mnt called it Shared-Disk, ticked the public box..

I'm still Trying and trying but maybe I'm at the wrong angle?

Should it even show up in Network in explorer in the first place?

Thanks in advance

Greetz.

You access the share either by:

\\routersip\sharename

or

\\routername\sharename

where routername is the name you set under "Setup->Basic Setup->Router Name"

Okay Thanks!! And Thanks for the quick reply!! That did the trick :D

And is it possible to give users only permission to only a folder on the disk?
Or do I have to Go and play with partitions?

'Cause (getting back to my other question about several USB Drives) I read something with Scripts..

So Can I add more devices and mount 'em as different partitions through script, If yes then what does the script look like? And is it changeable?

Thanks in advance,

Greetz.

It is possible through custom configuration. I have to update my tutorial for custom configuration since samba gui setup has changed a bit.

Basically it should be pretty much the same as before. Setup samba and users. Then logon to the router via ssh copy /tmp/smb.conf then change the generated config and paste it into custom configuration field.
