Hey guys! I'm having some trouble with DHCP- it's probably my fault, I probably messed up some settings somewhere... But for some reason when I plug the CAT6 cable from my cable modem into the internet port on the back of my E3000 it won't connect. It never gets a WAN IP. I've tried releasing it and renewing it, rebooting and so on. But nothing.
I'm worried that I may have messed something up on either >>Setup>VLANs or >>Setup>Networking>Port Setup or Bridging.
I know it's not a problem with the cable modem because my other routers connect immediately with no problem.
Please help! Any ideas would be great, or maybe how you have those settings set if you're using the router as a gateway set to connect to WAN using DHCP.
Thank you SO much!!!

I found a solution- sort of...
I discovered that if I connect another router directly to my cable modem (on a different subnet) and then connect my E3000 to that one- it works!
I don't know if this is some strange problem with my E3000 or dd-wrt, and I certainly can't explain why the DHCP client setting connects to my other local router but not to the cable modem... It's very strange! But at least I got it working.
