It appears there's a bug in the Kong builds with bridging. Creating a bridge that is assigned to the wl0.1 virtual wlan interface does not work properly as internet access is not permitted on these devices.

Please see my thread on DD-WRT.

And there was someone else experiencing the same problem that went away once he went to an official build.

Notice that in Kong mod builds br0 is listed under the bridging section, while this is not the case with official builds (as per the Multiple WLAN dd-wrt wiki). This may be an indication of something awry.

Would love to see this fixed.

As far as I know this is a problem with the older driver, try my newd builds, it should be working in those.

Thanks. I'll try that. I was in fact using the ASUS-RTN16-kingkong.bin build (non-NEWD). Any disadvantages to using the newd build?

The newd builds use the latest wireless driver dd-wrt uses, but this driver has signal problems with single radio units like the RT-N16, WNR3500L ...

Kong I'm looking to do the same as "onlinespending" is trying to do however I have a belkin playmax n600hd (F7D4301) running your 1760build. I'm not sure if this build is using new or old wireless drivers. Can you confirm if the feature I'm looking for should work on this build.

There reason I want this feature is because I want a separare wireless ssid for guess to use went they come round.

PS: I'm not looking to move onto a official ddwrt firmware as your build runs rock solution on my router.

I'm currently testing a new build. As far as I can judge now, I probably don't have to create new/old driver builds anymore as the latest wireless driver seems to work fine in terms of signal stability and thus all builds should fix the bridging bug.

Kong the build you were referring to on your post above is it 17940 or a new yet to be released?

I have installed the latest build (17940) on Asus RT-N16. I noticed a problem with a full run multiple WLANs. The problem occurs when you start bridging. When I follow the instructions http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Multiple_WLANs I got results - the wireless client connects to the second SSID and communicate with the router (ping / trace OK), but there is no access to the Internet. When using ping to domain names, they are resolved to IP addresses, so there is a partial connection to the Internet :)
Too little time to notice other anomalies. I'll see how it will work with DLNA, Samba, FTP and VPN.
