Hi,

I'm trying to change my firmware as my router experiences frequent connection drops (both wire and wireless)

I downloaded the latest release, but when I unzip the file I only get a .bin file and the router wants a .chk

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Use the dd-wrt mini build http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/29549/DD-WRT-for-NETGEAR-WNR3500L-Mini-CHK/ for the initial flash, then flash the regular build.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer...I had found it browsing the forums...
However, I did not manage to get it to work... Couldn't get an IP on the WAN side..
I have to tell you that I have a router from my ISP (Bell CANADA, the 2Wire modem/router) and it is set to give a certain IP to the netgear router, despite this I could not have internet on the devices connected to the second router.
I didn't try too hard maybe another time...
