I havent used Dd-wrt like in three years, the reason why I left was becasue back then DDWRT didn't support the DLNA, and it was very difficult to set up as nas, so I went to Tomato wich I dont have complains about, but I want to use DD-wrt (I always liked it better than Tomato) again and I just flashed my E3000 with the latest Kong Mod I'm playing with it! but I will love to know about partitioning my HD for DLNA and to also use it as Nas, I have a Iomega 2TB (removed the Virtual CD) and this are my questions:
1) Does support ext4?
2) Ive seen many User formating the HD for ext2/3/ without partitioning and using it in your build???
3) I've also read about some users and instructions to partitioning the HD to something like this and mention that the Jffs is not needed for usb HD users only MMC:
- one: for optware packages - make it 32MB - 2GB - use ext2/3 as the format
- two: for swap file - make it 16-256 MB - format it as linux swap file
- three: for data space - make it fit the rest of the disk - use ext2/3 or FAT32 as the format
- four: for jffs space - make it 32MB - 2GB - use ext2/3 as the format
Wich will be the best thing to do 1 single partititions or three as the shown above and wich is the benefits of it??
Sorry! but I haven't use the Dd-wrt in a while (I'm outdated) and the info in the site seems old and to many changes has been done since then, thank you.
