After installing Tomato all i get is an amber power light. I tried to unbrick it but putty won't open the serial connection and I cant ping the router with a static IP set on my pc. any suggestions?

did you flash stock firmware before flashing tomato? or did you flash tomato straight from dd-wrt
How did you flash? Did you use the initial file first for the R8000?
Use usb to ttl and tftp to flash the router
