Didn't see any reply to this so I'll be the first. I'm with Titan Hotspots, a Wi-Fi hotspot promotion and management company. We're currently using independent firmware for the Linksys WRT54GL that allows us to remotely monitor, apply policies, authenticate, and allow payment, etc. to the access point. We're looking to switch to the new open-source router and possibly put out some hotspot management addons. More to come on this soon!

I am working the independent firmware. Actually trying to port tini proxy httpd on it. Will let you know the proceedings
