I saw this in the PDF for reset procedures. Weird deal, never saw a company that was not sure how to reset their own product.

Indeed, I was pretty angry at that, since my router is bricked.

Well this open source guide is not really official. It is what we have put together at the community with an early engineering sample and the early sample that we worked on did have the boot loader - but somewhere down the line possibly with the new versions of boot loader this "feature" got omitted.

In most cases you can still recover the fimrware through the serial ports (unless of course the bootloader got damaged).

Nachi, you should post a basic tutorial on how to do this, with photos, etc.  It would be a great benefit to everyone.
