The WG614L does not appear to be on sale in the UK. Amaxon are offering a WGR614UK, but it is not clear if this is the open source router. The WGR614UK does not even appear on netgear's UK site. Does anyone know if this router supports the open source updates?

 Thanks

Chris,

Currently WGR614L is not sold in UK. The WGR614UK that you see is the similar version but with 2 MB Flash and 8 MB RAM instead of the 4 + 16 configuration in WGR614L.

It is going to be available in continental Europe in June/July timeframe but with a EU plug. We are still evaluating creating the product for UK and solicit feedback from such opensource users like you.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if the 'Netgear Open-Source WGR614 Wireless-G Router for Linux Developers & Enthusiasts' at amazon.co.uk is this router? It appears to be quite difficult for anyone living in the UK to buy this item just yet. Cheers.

Ah, seems like it is the 2MB version. 'Item model number: KWGR614-100UKS'. Shame.
