Does anyone know if it's possible to run the 'Standard' edition of DD-WRT on the WGR614L router? There are some features that the micro and mini don't have that I need to use...

The flash available is 4MB on that. If you rebuild it you should be able to put it on the WGR614L, I'm not sure if you can do the same for the WGR614V8 flash though (4MB flash as well). It might require a separate build.

No, the standard build will not run on 614v8. You will require to modify some part of the BSP and the flash layout as well. Some nvram attributes also needs to be changed. Download the version available here - this version incorporates all the changes required to run the firmware on 614v8.

Well Could you make a custom build that incorporates more of the features of the "Standard" version of the DD-WRT Firmware such as IPV6, SNMP, SAMBA/CIFS CLIENT, RFLOW, HTTPS Support for Web Management, and just drop the lame features too make it fit?

Sounds good, I look forward to the end result.
