I was sent a WGR614V9 router by my ISP and by the looks of things they had put their own firmware onto it and locked it so i cannot update it, i have tried 4 times and 4 times its failed.

The problems i am having with the current firmware is that if im running FTP or P2P the router resets and ive been told that i need to change the max connections allowd for router but their firmware doesnt allow me to do this.

Is there anyway i can unlock this and then upgrade it to whatever firmware i want?

 Thanks.

WGR614L opensource router is WGR614v8 and not the v9 version. Because of limited memory, v9 cannot be used ideally to port over all the new firmware.

Thanks
