Hi all,

There are some difference between the 614L router being sold in US and Europe. They Europian version comes with different version of bootloader. This verions of boot loader does not load non-lzma raw kernel format trx images although this kind of imgaes can be flashed.

The Tomato firmware for the Europian edition has been uploaded in this site by Nachi. Please download and use this firmware from http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/10413/tomato_wgr614l-lzma

Hi,
since I was the first coming up with this problem - thank you for your help and support.

Is there any possibility to do the same with a DD-WRT image? I learned that tomato lacks WPA support which is essential for me.

Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Hi again,
some issues:
- SSH does not work (openpty could not execute)
- no PPPoE connection (connection establishes but no internet)
- no WPA support

See a bootlog here, perhaps it can help someone:

Hi,
It seems i had the same problem with my wgr614l bought in France. It's the only tomato firmware version i can use. Does someone have a similar solution with dd-wrt? I'm ready for all your tests if you don't have a european version.
Thanks for your help.

I bought the WRT614L in Switzerland and of course ran into the same problems as the other owners of European router versions. Only the special Tomato will run. Now I am wondering if you had to change the source code to make it work. Or can I use standard Tomato source, compile it and than follow the last step you describe here: http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/10413/tomato_wgr614l-lzma
