Likewise I too am using the KWGR614 and have a basic install of the default firmware (however looking forward to either dd-wrt or tomato for it which is why I bought the opensource version not realizing it was the K instead of the 614L) WEP Encryption (damn you tivo) and have static routes running to all of my different connections (currently 3 wired and 5 wireless) and about every 5 min's the connection will drop system wide.
I've tried contacting my ISP and it's not on there end, tried Level 3 and Opendns, it's not that, so I'm courious about what's causing this in the router as this has to be the source of the problem. After about 2 min's of being disconnected it will then again reconnect without a problem for mabye another 5 min's then rinse and repeat. None of my pc's seem to notice the drop as there's no notification that there's been a disconnection in either vista or linux (mint for those courious).
Any help would be appreciated and any info I can provide to help you help us, I would be more then happy to do so!
-Edit-
So I've been looking around and here's what I've found out from a post in the netgear fourms
Quote-Skynet "This router has dnrd-dnshijack (not a huge fan of it)
it will grab all traffic on port 53 and try to resolve the addy.
no matter what nameserver you set on your computer (as long as its not on your local net) the router will intercept.
make sure /var/resolv.conf looks ok
I remove dnrd-dnshijack on mine and use dnsmasq. It seems quite stable."
and then a wounderful guy named Ellis (or erahhal) did me the favor of compiling a fix myself and posted his .bix file here: http://www.slacktopia.org/kwgr614_dnsmasq.zip
I've updated it and so far so good, so if this is indeed the same issue your having give it a shot, you can always tftp if worse comes to worse :D
Now does anyone know if ddwrt works on this thing?

I am still experiencing the dropped connections. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
