I upgraded my Road Runner bandwidth to 20 Mbps and my present router (Netgear FVS318) is only bringing in 6-7Mbps. I need to find a faster router. It's very hard to find the input speeds on routers these days, they all give the output speeds only. Any help would be welcome, thanks.

The FVS318 does have fairly modest throughput. I did some benchmarking a while back, and though I don't have the numbers at hand, my recollection is that the WGR614v8 (equiv to the WGR614L) had wan-lan (ie download) throughput exceeding 50Mbps running standard NETGEAR firmware.

Thanks, now all i have to do is find someone that sells them.

I'm testing with a 60Mbps connection with speedtest.net and only getting ~6Mbps. I think this router is under-powered for some of the higher BW services now coming available.
