Have a look at the following link to see if ur router supports these custom firmwares ..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomato_(firmware)#Compatible_Routers
If they support ,then get a build from corresponding site for ur router and do the upgrade ....
These custom firmwares r very flexible and provide u lot of options ...

i have edimax BR-6204WG, i Want to upset the upgrade to DD-WRT or Tomato, you can have a suggestion.
