Have u opened the WOL feature of router ... you have to this by making "CONFIG_WOL=y "
Categories: WGR614L (Legacy Product)
Hello,
I just purchased a new WGR614L and want to add the capability of wake on lan for the computers on the network. I often find that doing upgrades away from the office, the computer in question is not turned on and we don't have a server/computer that always stays on.
I would like to have the ability to store many names and mac addresses in a table and the ability to select a computer name to send the wol packets.
I have opened the telnet feature of the router but don't know where to go next. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

How do I change the configuration file? I have opened up the router via telnet, but this is as far as I have gone.
Thanks
It should b enabled in the build available 2 u .... u can check this by looking into /usr/sbin ...
Just do a telnet or ssh to your board and see if /usr/sbin/wol is present there or not ... If it is there then u have got it ..
If it z not there then u need to make a new build with WOL enabled ...
I have gone to /usr/sbin and WOL is not there. How do I go about creating a new build with this feature? I would also like to change the email port the router uses to 587.
Thanks
Currently, I am using the default source code on the router. I have version 8.
Do you have the source code ? You need to download the source code and enable the WOL in configuration. After that you need to recompile the code and use the new firmware. Through that firmware you should be able to do WOL.
