Before and after an upgrade you need to do a 30/30/30 reset, as described on dd-wrt page. Besides that after flashing you need to wait at least 5 minutes before you login and change any settings.

So I bought it this morning, downloaded the bin and uploaded it, I now have a full range of yellow (Amber?) on my lights and so I wait for the USB-TTL wire from Scotland. I had installed the K26 version Nukie had put up earlier and that had worked fine. I am wondering what I could have done different or if I bought the wrong version. If anyone has tried this before successfully, please let me know.

I should update this. The 30/30/30 failed to me and so I opened my router, there were NO headers. I followed this guide instead of this guide. Everything worked according to the guide and I had no problems aside from the very tedious job of soldering with no headers.
