Uh oh. I guess that means that us WGR614L owners are out of luck? Frown Hope not.

It is always good to have latest firmware. Can you please tell me from feature wise what is the difference between 1.27 and 1.25 ? If it really helps to have 1.27 tomato firmware for WGR614L then I will try to port that too.

Well I only use my WGR614L as a wireless client so I probably won't have a need for any of the advanced features. But someone else here might. I looked on the Tomato site and it looks like some significant upgrades and updates were done in version 1.26 it looks like 1.27 only a minor bug fix of 1.26. Don't know if this is enough to convince the Netgear team to try and work on a 1.26/1.27 port for the WGR614L but it would be nice.

I realize at some point the WGR614L will fade into obscurity but some of us would like to keep it alive for a little bit longer. At least, until the price of the WNR3500L comes down enough to warrant the upgrade. I just got my WGR614L less than a year ago and it's working quite well. The WNR3500L is nice but it's still a bit pricey at the moment.

I have started working on 1.27 for both WGR614L and WNR3500L. Hope I can release them soon.

Thank you! Smile Let us know if you need any help in testing the build. Thanks again for what you do porting Tomato for the WGR614L and now the WNR3500L.

I will need help for testing the firmware. I will do some preliminary testing. Once it is okay I will give you that firmware to test. Thanks for your offer.

WGR614L and WGR614v8 are same. What are the issues that you are facing with tomato firmware ? Also which firmware version are you using ?

April 6, 2010 12:55 AM

Tomato-1.27 firmware is ready for testing. Please send me your email id as PM who are interested to test it on their WGR614L board.

For example i can`t get address for my WAN interface by DHCP. Cannot run WPA2 wirelles security, and others.

There was some problems in WPA/WPA2 feature. But DHCP has no problem. There must be some problem either in your set up or in remote DHCP server setting.
