hi !

i have just enable the telnet on my 614L with this utility : http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/10602/NETGEAR-Telnet-Enable-Utility/ and i see (with putty) that there isn't login or password !
It's a big problem ! All people can use the router's telnet without password !

somebody can help me ? :)

I would think a hard reset would take care of that. Did you try it?

Now that you know about the hidden telnet mode, you'll have to change the username and/or password if security is your concern.

Try these commands in the telnet session, substituting your own user name and/or password:

nvram
nvram show
nvram get super_username
nvram get super_passwd

nvram set super_username=Gearguy commit
nvram set super_passwd=Geardog commit

Then reboot if you made any changes.
