I am not the authorized person to tell you but if you use other firmware like OpenWRT, DD-WRT etc then that will void the warranty.
There is neither any such list of actions which brick the board nor not bricking the board. It is hard to predict. Better if you have serial console set up. So if somehow if brick your router board then you always debrick it.
Hi, I'm not new to Linux, but am also not good at it. I am however, totally new to OpenWRT. I appreciate it very much if someone could show me how or show me some links explaining how to do this without ruining my router. I would also like to know if installing that firmware will void my warranty. Lastly, I've read a post about "bricking your router". I'm not quite sure how one can do this, and was wondering if someone could tell me how to avoid it (or link me to some information). Thanks!
EDIT: Also, I would like to be able to setup separate OpenVPN tunnels to different servers for different devices.
