I just received an WRN3500L router.

I installed Tomato firmware (1.27) and it's not user friendly... (must install dd-wrt and then install tomato and the erase nvram ...)

I found a lot of interesting functionalities.

- dyndns : realy usefull

- qos : i don't know if it's realy working well but i was amazing to see all the layer7 protocol implemented!

-ftp: it's easy to set up... but a little bit simple. it's not possible to set up access to a specific folder (/mnt/hdd/public for all /mnt/hdd/toto only for toto /mnt/hdd/work for work with some user)... i am still using a nas (iomega ix2)

- file sharing: work fine (my mac mini saw it :) )

- file sharing speed: a little bit slow with gigabit (5,5mo/s when downloading a movie)

-vpn ? i didnt found it. i am looking for a solution to bypass chinese filter when i am in china... (before i was using ubuntu with openvpn and squid)

I hope that the new version of tomato will implement or improve all these remark ;)
