Is anyone aware of a script or something that would automatically spin-down an attached USB hard drive?  I'm using Tomato Teddy Bear mod beta 16, and I have my hard drive attached, but it's ALWAYS spinning.  I don't think this is good for the drive, so I want to get it to spin-down somehow.  Thanks!

Well, I did some digging and found out that Tomato USB mod by Teddy Bear actually includes scsi-stop, which is a program that will auto-spin-down and spin-up the attached hard drive.
To use it, it requires you use a script (found here: http://wl500g.info/showpost.php?p=167383&postcount=64)

My question is... where to put this script?
In the "Run after mounting" section of the USB Support Menu?

The problem with spin-down is that many usb chips dont support all commands. So there is many ways to achieve spin-down and they depend of the chip. You wont have this problem with high end WD external HD for example but you likely to have it with cheap noname USB cases.
Anyway spin-down is very good for power savings but not so good for HD lifetime so if you manage to activate spin-down you have to take care not to set it too fast.
