Hello! This is my first post, and I must admit that I am a complete N00B, so here it goes:

I have a  Netgear WNDR3700  connected to my main LAN. I just purchased a digimerge DVR for security cameras. The DVR needs to have its own router. I need to bridge it to the main router about 100 Ft away.  I flashed a WRT54GS with Tomato and now just need to put it all together, so that it can talk with my other router, access them on the internet and other computers on the network.

I’ve been reading here, trying to get an idea of what I need to do to get this to work.  My main question to start with, do I need a dedicated computer to sit with the WRT54GS, or can I just access it with a laptop, or though the network when I need to. Thanks for any advice that can be offered to me.

Sounds like you are wanting to setup a wireless bridge.
Take a look at this artcile and see if it helps.

If setup correctly you don't need a seperate computer to access the other router.
