One thing that I found somewhat amusing and somewhat ironic about this site:

Why is it that it only covers products, which can not function properly without proprietary software?

The proprietary software that's I'm talking about here is typically the wireless driver. Netgear seems to like to push Broadcom hardware as 'open source routers', but so far Broadcom hasn't published any free software wireless driver, neither has Netgear of course.

Sure, Netgear pretty much uses proprietary software on all of their routers (at least I didn't find any that ship with 100% open source firmware). But by now they at least have some devices, which we (OpenWrt) were able to add support for without any proprietary bits (e.g. the WNDR3700). Those do not seem to be covered here, I wonder why...

Maybe they should have called this site MyNotReallyOpenRouter.com after all...
