 I need help. I have a net gear router.

How do i set it up . so that I don't have to share it with my neighbors.

I am a newbie to this .

Please I would appreciate someones help.

You have to select you wireless channel such that it does not conflict with neighbours. Otherwise there is nothing that can be shared with your neighbour.

Thank You. But it says unsecured. In which I thought that I pay the bill and my neighbor has free internet.
This is hard for me to understand.

Set Security for wireless. Through which protocol are you connected to WAN i.e Dhcp or PPP?

What is the model number of your Netgear router and what operating system are you using on your computer?

Netgear WNR3500L, DD-WRT Kong Mod USB/FTP/SAMBA3/OpenVPN/Proxy Build 18010M, Win XP Home SP3, Firefox 8, ethernet to GlobeSurfer II modem.
