Hi,
I currently have a 1 GB drive on my 3500L USB port and have Samba enabled. My settings are as follows.
My wirelessly connected Mac laptop as well as my windows laptop running windows 98 can see the shared directories in network neighborhood with no problems however, my wired desktop does not even show the router or the connected usb drive. Anybody have any ideas?

I figured it out. For anyone else having this problem turning off the homegroup as well as disabling the homegroup services and rebooting worked for me. The link below explains how to disable the service.
