I have been using this flash disk for a long time and has files in it.

I've checked with windows and it says FAT formatted.

Have you tried with original firmware?

Did you try disabling/re-enabling USB/Samba, rebooting, and/or power cycling? The same thing happens to me from time to time when I use tomato and a generic flash stick.
