It means that you use this connection only to setup the router. Once it is setup you will connect to it through your wireless card.

I just setup mine today and I logged into the default login page and started to set it up. Some may want to run the wizard or use the cd that should start the wizard. In the end I unplugged the router and connected it to my network and connected through the wireless.
