could someone please walk me through the step to unlock the telnet on my wgr614v9?  All the links I can find require me to download a file from the korean netgear website, and the file isn't even there!!

You could try the Solaris/Linux/OS X - TelnetEnable Utility 0.4 available here Download Solaris/Linux/OS X - TelnetEnable Utility 0.4 but I don't know if it will work with  V9
