Hi Rocky,
In my opinion Kong's modifications to DD-WRT is very good, it has miniDNLA built in and working well. No other K26 build has this, it also has several tweaks to performance and many other things.
If you do have the option to use USB I would go with this and then add Optware the Right Way to it by frater, this bundle includes some great optware to stengthen your network security and various fixes for known bugs in DD-WRT firmware & torrent client directly on the router
Chris.
Hello,
I am looking for a good DD-WRT release to use. I don't use USB, VPN, or any of that stuff. I am just connecting one desktop, one laptop, and a Xbox 360 to the internet. The only thing I am really worried about is good wireless ability, QOS, and it being stable. Right now I am using the latest eko mini build version 16403 from 3-10-11. Is there anything better than this? Also, when I run a Netalyzr test I am getting a anomaly that says that my buffer cache is way to large. Can someone tell me how to decrease it? Its like 2000ms of buffering for download and 3000 for upload. When I disable QOS it is only 200-300ms down and around 1000up which is still large on the upload side.
Thanks,
Rocky
