Hey everybody,

I decided to put together a basic guide on what the notation in various fiirmware downloads means--e.g., "Ext," "Std," "Mini," and so on. The guide can be found here:

EXT, miniDLNA, and More: A Brief Guide to Deciphering Firmware Titles

While I love open source routers, I am by no means as knowledgeable as many of my members and friends on this community--and as such, I'd like to ask for help from all of you in tweaking and updating this guide.

I intend for it to be a "dynamic" article, open to comments, suggestions, and edits as firmwares change and update.

So, please take a look, and either post a comment to the article or send me a private message with your comments & additions, or if you see any errors.

Cheers,

Pete
