Toastman-RT-1.28.7479
Toastman-VLAN-BETA-1.28.4402 (also includes VLAN-GUI)

DLNA updated to 1.0.21
HFS/HFS+ Mac OS x read support by Victek
SNMP integrated by Shibby

New filters added to qos-ctrate & detailed pages (Nice work by Teaman)
New cosmetics changes to many pages. This makes these pages extremely
useful for monitoring purposes.

Pages which may be used for realtime monitoring now have
the ability to "hide" much of the extra setup entry boxes, leaving
the page clearer for the lists.

Okey, If you already using it why do you need another one ?

May 21, 2012 12:51 PM

I need it on a stable firmware, with this FW as i told you on previous posts, wifi keeps dropping on high usage, that's all, toastman's one seems to be more stable

I doubt you can get better performance with toastmans builds as they use same code base to theirs builds. If your torrent drop connection check your settings.

Random stupid question...
is there any firmware that I can turn one of the LAN ports into a 2nd wan port to have 2 WAN (ISP) connections and load balance them / route preferred traffic / have a backup route?

July 25, 2012 6:54 AM

Strange. I can't see any files listed for Toastman's builds on his 4shared page. The directories are all there, but I can't list any files inside them.
I've tried several different browsers & few different OS's. Anyone else able to download latest builds?

July 25, 2012 11:51 AM

@LilTimmy--I had just updated the WNR3500Lv1 builds to the latest version on 7/16, but when I try to access his 4shared site now, I am seeing the same issue. I'll message him and see what's up.

Thx Peter..really appreciate it.

According to Toastman, the 4shared server seems to me acting strangely, and he thinks all will be well in a few days. He says it's happened before, but that they address it quickly.

In the meantime, he's uploaded the latest builds here:

Currently i use a VDSL2 modem/router which i received from my provider, but i want to use my Netgear 3500L v1 again because the wifi performance is way better. But i want to know if i can use IPV6 6RD with the latest TomatoUSB build (1.28.7500.2)?

Quick question: does the August 15 E4200 release (1.28.0500.4) contain the updated wireless drivers (namely 5.100.138.20, courtesy ASUS)?

Thanks. Would be nice to reflect that in the change log though...

Please advise:

I have TomatoUSB running on an E3000 and I love it. While I attend school away from home, I am running an Asus RT-N12B1 and I have tried and tried to flash TomatoUSB. The Asus firmware is interesting but clunky; dd-wrt is good, but not great. Every time I try to flash Tomato, I cannot log into my router.

Perhaps I'm using the wrong version of Tomato. By the way, the B1 version of the N12 has 8MB of flash, so I should be able to use a standard version, right?

Oh--and check out how my processor is reported:

That's not the standard processor for the RT-N12 (or B1), is it?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi all, I've been using toastman's version for a few months now and started trying to "play" with the IPv6 tunnel features, using HE tunnel broker site. I created two tunnels, one for my Netgear WNR3500L/U/v2 with toastman's tomato 1.28 and one for my Linksys WRT400N with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std - build 14896.
Both tunnels works, that is I can ping6/traceroute6 etc, even the test-ipv6.com website show 10/10 in all tests with both tunnels,
but there is something wrong with local bind/named queries when connected to the HE tunnel thru the netgear, I am getting these kind of errors and no resolution whatsoever:
Nov 1 19:02:24 Legolas named[10052]: error (FORMERR) resolving './NS/IN': 192.228.79.201#53
Nov 1 19:02:24 Legolas named[10052]: DNS format error from 192.58.128.30#53 resolving ./NS: non-improving referral
Nov 1 19:02:24 Legolas named[10052]: error (FORMERR) resolving './NS/IN': 192.58.128.30#53
Nov 1 19:02:26 Legolas named[10052]: DNS format error from 192.33.4.12#53 resolving ./NS: non-improving referral
Nov 1 19:02:26 Legolas named[10052]: error (FORMERR) resolving './NS/IN': 192.33.4.12#53
Nov 1 19:02:26 Legolas named[10052]: DNS format error from 193.0.14.129#53 resolving ./NS: non-improving referral
Nov 1 19:02:26 Legolas named[10052]: error (FORMERR) resolving './NS/IN': 193.0.14.129#53
Nov 1 19:02:27 Legolas named[10052]: DNS format error from 202.12.27.33#53 resolving ./NS: non-improving referral
Nov 1 19:02:27 Legolas named[10052]: error (FORMERR) resolving './NS/IN': 202.12.27.33#53

and it only happens when I use the root hints directly, if I use a forwarder, the named successfully does the name resolution.

when I switch to the linksys, with dd-wrt, the named does not logs any errors and is able to resolve the same hosts, in similar conditions, that is, using root hints, no forwarder.
I tried with an MTU of 1480, 1460 and now it is at 1280 as the dd-wrt and still getting those errors and no resolving when using the netgear with toasman's tomatousb... dont know what else to look at.
btw, in toastman's I opened ports 53 and 41 tcp , first without target IP, which caused get several warnings for blocking from the test-ipv6.com, but when directed to my specific IPv6 address, it all worked fine. I opened port 41 for all crossing traffic with ip6tables.

I dont know where else to post this request for help, so if this is the wrong place, please point me to the right direction.

have anyone faced this situation? where should I start digging ?

thanks in advance.

Guys, I just noticed that my 5GHz band is not working. I'm on a Linksys E4200 w/Toastman Tomato 1.28.0500.5 (tomato-E4200USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.0500.5MIPSR2Toastman-RT-N-VPN). Can anyone confirm?

January 23, 2013 4:53 AM

Will there be a build of tomato made for the Netgear R6300 would love to use it prefer it over stock firmware dd-wrt or openwrt

January 23, 2013 3:40 PM

Is there an easy way to enable a guest wifi network using multiple ssid? I can't find any configuration options in the GUI, but i do see mentions about it in the changelog. I'm using the latest VPN build (1.28.7501.2).

January 23, 2013 3:45 PM

Yes it is. Have you looked under Virtual Wireless => Virtual Wireless Interfaces ?

January 23, 2013 4:00 PM

I've set up a virtual wireless interface for guest access (as a test), but the guest network could ping and see my primary (secured) network.

I tried IP Isolation with no success.

If you figure it out, please post your procedure / technique here.

Thanks!

There is no Virtual Wireless option, i googled a bit and it should be under 'Advanced' but it isn't there.

Well then erase NVRAM and reconfigure by hand. I'm sure it's there.
I'm using 0501.2 and it's there.
