The instructions for firmware upgrade are totally invalid on my router. It says to login to the admin panel and go to Maintenance > Router Upgrade but that option quite simply does NOT exist on my router. I called support and they *really* screwed me. A first level tech told me to turn the power on and off and then to clear the settings to factory default. That of course did not work and didn't change anything. When I called back to try to finish the call and figure out how to get back online they refused to finish supporting me until I PAID them. What a scam. They tell me to clear my settings and then say I have to pay to get the rest of the support. Unbelievable.

Anyway is my router defective? Is there another way to upgrade the firmware? What do I do. I believe my router is a WNR3500Lv1
