That shouldn't have anything to do with the router firmware. If you're USB hub is powered then it should be able to charge the devices regardless of the router. You should even be able to detach the hub from the router and charge the devices as it's producing it's own 5V feeds to the ports.

I have used toastman firmware for a while with no problems but the latest release has proved to be a problem.
I have a 10 port powered usb hub connected to the router, i connect 4 mobiles to charge over night and normally they are fully charged the next morning. With the latest firmware it only charges about 50% of the battery life on all mobiles.
Any help will be very grateful
