help: how to distinguish 3500L V1 or V2

In the router status, it shows below message:

hardware     WNR3500L
firmware     V1.2.2.44_35.0.53NA

so it is 3500L V1 or 3500L V2?

thanks

You can find the name of the router (Model: WNR3500Lv2) at the front side (same side where you can find the power port) of the router.

As Tathagata said, I only found WNR3500L at the front side, so now I can confirm my router is version V1, thanks to Tathagata.

And I think this kind of topic should be set to top, for I found serveral newbee like me ask this question. So it should set to top or wirte in FAQ.

Thanks.

Good to know that you are able to recognise your router.
Hope, the following two pictures will provide more information to the newbee,

Anyone know if Amazon is shipping v1 or v2 of the WNR3500L now?

Most probably yes.

Alas, not necessarily. Ordered yesterday, arrived today and it's a v1. Not a big deal, I suppose it will do just fine.

Main difference between V1 and V2 is memory capacity. Otherwise they are quite similar.

I have the Sam Knows supplied wnr3500u/wnr3500l, apparently v1, although it has the n300 label next to the model # as in the second picture.

Do you know, does this have special firmware for their program or can I use Tomato or something similar?

Current firmware version is V1.2.2.26_33.0.28SK

Thanks!

Merely viewing this picture I guess it is wnr3500Lv1. Can you please give a snapshot of your router's boot-log ??

No.

It's been a while since I have been able to look at this problem, and I've decided to stick with the OEM for now. Also, I don't have a serial port so I don't have a simple method of getting the boot log as requested.

Thanks!

I'll give this a shot later and post back here with success. If I have problems, I'll start a new thread.

And to answer an earlier question, I do have the wnr3500L v1.
