I have had the 3500L for over a year now and I love it. In November I bought a new laptop and it connected to my router no problem at 150Mbps and ran like that for some time. Just recently I noticed that it was only connecting at 72Mbps, so I thought I'd buy a better quality usb adapter thinking there was a problem with the one in the laptop, but its only connecting at less then half of what it should. I checked in the router settings and its set to connect at 300Mbps. so my questions is, is there anything else I should check or do? any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful.

Is there any other AP running nearby ??
You can try by setting it to a different channel.

I guess there are some other APs in the vicinity with same channel. Can you change the channel of the router ?
Also did you change your wireless client adapter ?

What about your problem with connection speed ? Is it solved ?

You generally only get 1/2 of your connection speed since the 'hardware' is rated
in a DUPLEX mode and an up-load test is only SIMPLEX or one-way...
