Leaf Networks (Now a part of NETGEAR)
Leaf Networks (now a part of NETGEAR) securely extends LAN-like connectivity over the Internet to embedded devices, mobile users, and software applications. You can easily create virtual networks on-demand, across any public or private networks using Leaf Networks software. Leaf Networks has developed patented technology that allows computers to form networks and communicate as if they were on the same local area network.
WNR3500L Software
Leaf Networks (now a part of NETGEAR) has developed a version of its software specifically for the WNR3500L. This streamlined version allows WNR3500L owners to remotely access their external USB storage device from anywhere as if it were on their home network. Windows users can browse and save files seamlessly using the standard File Explorer, and Mac users can use the Finder. No complicated setup or port forwarding configurations are required; simply update your firmware, enter your email address, and you are ready to begin accessing your files from anywhere.
To begin, download the firmware here (versions for both Worldwide and North America are provided) then refer to the setup guide below to get started:
NOTE: In order for this firmware and accompanying software to work correctly, you must register for a Leaf Networks account through the router interface. Signing up directly through the Leaf Networks website will not work, as that is a separate account.
You also must use the Leaf Remote software linked below. For further questions, please consult the Leaf Networks setup guide.
