OpenWRT trunk on Netgear WNR-3500L

Hi there! Has anyone flashed openwrt on this device? Opinions? They recently added support on trunk: https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/7198#comment:53 /a> Unfortunately they say that wireless will only work in g mode. Why? Is there any possibility we will also have 802.11n working in the near future with that driver? IMHO OpenWRT it's a way better than DD-WRT.

Problem with OpenWRT and TPLink-MR3020.

Hi, after trying to install OpenWRT I've ran into some confusions and now I cannot connect anymore to the MR3020 using LAN. After searching hours on the net I come to the conclusion that I need to shout for help. The MR3020 ethernet LED is not going ON and I am not able to connect to the device. Also there are no IPv4 Default Gateway IP. As you can see in the picture below. After setting up a Satic IP. I was able to set the MR3020 in Failsafe mode and Telnet to the device using Putty with the ethernet cable directly connected to the PC. I have tried the code mount_root with no succes. And the output is: I have tried also Firstboot also with no success. And the output is: Hopefully someone can help me. In advance many thanks for any help on this issue.

Edimax ps-1208mfg and build openwrt

Hello I've started modyfing the Edimax ps-1208mfg following this guide. http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/edimax/ps-1208mfg I would like to use it as access point connected to my home wireless and accessible on RJ45 port or vice-versa. I have a lot's of questions. 1) First i've followed this guide ( http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/build) to build the os but when i choose the target i didn't found any compatible target. 2) After I build my os i think it's located in build_dir? But the size (i think i didn't choose a lot's of packets on "make menuconfig") seems to be 20mb, i am correct if i say it's ok my device who seems to be 32mb ram. I've tried to set up a TFTP server using tftpd using debianhelp.co.uk/tftp.htm but i'm waiting to fix the previous steps to go further. Thanks in advance
[Read more]

I am working on freeradius server. I want to use Netgear WNR3500L as a access point. According to my academic project i need to do some changes in access point kernel. Changes like at radius and eap protocol. So i choose kamikaze and port in access point. Its working fine. But now my question is.. Is there any other firmware like backfire, is compatible with Netgear WNR3500L? If not that tell me about kamikaze. I searched and found this access point is not much open source. What it means.

If you're not familiar with OpenWRT , it's a new firmware (the router's "brain," if you will) that you can install that is felt by many to be faster, easier to use, and more customizable than other firmwares. Want to give it a try? Follow these instructions to get started. Step 1: Download the Firmware You can snag the 1.0 BETA version of the OpenWRT firmware for the WNDR3800 from the download link here on MyOpenRouter. Once downloaded, you'll need to unarchive the file (you'll need WinRAR or a similar program if you're on Windows. Mac can do it natively.) Step 2: Perform a 30-30-30 Reset On Your Router Performing this step will ensure a clean and smooth installation. You can find complete details on how to do this here . Step 3: Log In To Your Router's GUI (Graphic Interface) Simply type 192.168.1.1 into your browser bar and enter the username and password for your router.
