DD-WRT on WGR614v8

Hi all,

I have seen a lot of discussion regarding the Tomato firmware in this site but not regarding DD-WRT. Hey, it is the best firmware I have ever used.... Can you guys please come up with the 614v8 compatible DD-WRT firmwares. Is anybody working on it ?

yes, we are now working on the DD-WRT source. We will upload the image once we finished working..

Great... I would also like to contribute in this porting.... Can you please give me any idea regarding the source - from where should download the source, how should I compile it etc

I have searched through the Dd-WRT forum. They have already ported DD-WRT for WGR614v8. You can have a look at it also.

you can download the code from their svn also - http://svn.dd-wrt.com:8000/dd-wrt/browser/src... I am not sure which version of linux works on 614v8 platform... you can give it a try.. Please remember to post here about your findings

In that distribution you would find one directory linux.v24_2. It supports BCM5354 chip. So you can use this distribution for making DD-WRT firmware for WGR614L. Please note that you need to make .chk file for writing it into flash.

Cool, now do you have the DD-WRT v24 Standard rebuild that will fit on the WGR614V8? It has a lot more features than the Mini and Micro firmwares.
