Are you using Firefox when you preform the flash? For whatever reason if you flash using this browser it can cause problems. In this instance alone I would have to recommend that you use IE....

The flash available is 4MB on that. If you rebuild it you should be able to put it on the WGR614L, I'm not sure if you can do the same for the WGR614V8 flash though...
