24865M 5ghz Keeps Disappearing

Ok, So I have upgraded to the 24865M build of DD-WRT by Kong to get my UPnP back.  While UPnP appears to be working, the 5ghz band of the router keeps disappearing.  I have to either reboot the router, or make some change under the wireless section of the GUI and hit apply to get it back.  My setup is N-ONLY, CHANNEL 153, LOWER AND UPPER, IMPLICIT BEAMFORMING.

Anyone have any ideas whats going on?

24800M UPNP Not Working

I havent used DD-WRT since the problems started with the 5ghz band at rev 24500M so when I saw that Kong had fixed the issue I loaded 24800M.  Everything looks good so far on 24800M with the exception of UPNP.  I have a NAS drive that I usually connect to remotely via the WAN port.  The NAS drive uses UPNP to forward the appropriate port from the WAN to the LAN.  However I see that nothing is showing up in the UPNP table as viewed from the router NAT/QOS pages since loading 24800M.  I am getting around this the old fashioned way (Manual port forwarding) but as I have several other devices o

Problem with accessing 5GHz band (R6300v2 on Kong 24760M)

I just switched from the original netgear firmware to Kong's 24760M, and I ran into a problem with the 5GHz band.

After the flash, the SSID of 5GHz band (wl1) is not showing up in my devices' wifi list (laptop, phone, ipad). I tried rebooting the router, and then I can see the SSID for both wl0 and wl1, but none of the devices can connect to the wl1.

I can connect to the 2.4GHz band (wl0) with no problem.

Anyone out there see similar problem? Thanks.

Bonehead flash of R6300v1 with ARM branch

I can't reflash with tftp, so I assume I screwed the router good.  Will the serial fix outlined here work?

R6300 DD-WRT no UPnp

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

I followed the directions to unbrick my Netgear R6300 and was able to download and update the latest Netgear image.

everything was great, but I am a curious guy.

I flashed the recomended DD-WRT for the 6300 and it installed.  As per the recomendation I set up the security for the wirless and went to set the UPnp to recomended settings but there is no page that comes up. Just a blank page (white). I can go backarrow, I can access all other tabs on the DD-WRT interface. Only this one page is a problem as far as I know.

Kong 24500M Problem

Tried the new 24500M on my R6300v2 today.  No luck, I found two things wrong with it.

1st - I cant get IPv6 to work on it, period.  My network locks up and I have to reboot the router to get back in and disable the IPv6 option.  On a couple of occasions I could keep the connection to the router but could not reach the internet beyond.

"This firmware file is incorrect!" R6300v2 For DD-WRT

Hello everyone!

Well i just gotten my R6300v2 router US version which have currently this firmware installed

V1.0.3.6_1.0.63CH

For some reason i am unable to install the DD-WRT firmware on it. To be honest i am new to this DD-WRT scene. I've tried all versions for my router model of DD-WRT which is only two that i've seen, The Kong/K3 one and the Tathagata Das one and no lucky i just keep getting :

New Netgear Firmware

I noticed that Netgear has released new firmware for the 6300v2.  This latest version is supposed to contain new WIFI drivers for stability.  Does anyone know if the new drivers have been made available to the developers here?  Are there any plans to incorporate them into DD-WRT so we can hopefully get away from the NEWD vs OLDD binaries?

**EDIT**

Here is the changelog from Netgear;

Kong v24170 Slow Speed

I was using version 24045 and my router was working great. I then upgraded to the latest version 24170 and noticed an immediate slowdown. I tried several reboots etc before going back to the 24045. After returning to the 24045 my router is blazing fast again, kicks the crap out of the Netgear firmware!

I have to assume there is something wrong with the 24170 firmware, at least as it is applied on the 6300v2 router.  Anyone else out there using this on their 6300v2?

FYI - I use dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD_NEWD.bin

DD-WRT differences? Print server features?

It's awesome to have received updates so quickly addressing the recent security issues. Thanks very much for that.

Is there feature set that differs between the DD-WRT versions for the R6300v2 as provided by Kong and Tathagata Das?

In addition, does either DD-WRT provided support acting as a print server? If so, does it work using the Netgear provided client software or would we just make a port pointing to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9100?

My last experience with DD-WRT dates back to the WRT-54G, which didn't have many bells and whistles to worry about.
